FROM THE DESK OF THE PRINCIPAL
Dear SEA Families, 
On January 10, 1989 my sister was in a horrible car accident. She was not supposed to survive the scene, or the helicopter transport to the hospital, or the surgeries. We were told that she was being given a 20% chance of survival. I remember thinking these doctors do not know my sister. Donna who is 4’1” (and barely 100 pounds!) is tough and stubborn. She’s all grit. Growing up Donna always had the last word. She never quit on anything, and she stood up against all odds. It wasn’t always easy with my sister- often it was her way or the highway, especially for me as the younger sister. But in this life threatening moment I knew there was no way she would give up. All sixth, seventh and eighth graders are invited to the Parents' Association hosted St. Valentine's Day Dance from 7-10pm on Saturday, February 9th in the Bill D'Amato Alumni Gymnasium. If you want to chaperone, be sure you have your background clearance on file. Check with us if you're unsure. $10 per student]  Additional info is forthcoming! 
SEA FAMILY NIGHT:   BUNCO -AN SEA TRADITION!
Come enjoy dinner and play the 'all ages dice game' of Bunco on Saturday, February 2nd.  Tickets are sold at the door only.  More info will be available soon.
SEA CHOIRS TO SING AT BLUE COATS
On Saturday, February 9th, members of the SEA choirs will perform the National Anthem for the Delaware Blue Coats (a division of the 76ers) game against the Iowa Wolves. The game will be played at the new 76ers Fieldhouse on the Wilmington Riverfront. We're excited to announce that this will also be a unique opportunity for current 3rd graders to join us at this event. If you are interested, click here for more details. Third Grade – Blue Coats National Anthem Choir members who are attending, return your forms and checks for tickets (including a ticket for singer) no later than Wednesday, January 16, but as soon as you can as they want a ball park number. PROJECTED CAST LIST FOR SPRING MUSICAL
Congratulations to our cast for two successful rounds of auditions. After much discussion, final casting was reached by the panel of directors.
It was competitive, and we believe that everyone will shine in the roles to which they been assigned. (Click here for Cast List). We look to take everyone to Neverland on Sunday from 5:30 until 7:30 for a read/sing through and vocal rehearsal of the show. Parents, please return committee forms and check the status of your background clearance. We thank you in advance for your help and support! The adventure begins!
