FROM THE DESK OF THE PRINCIPAL
Dear SEA Families,
Every week I receive ‘Principal’s Notes’ from the Catholic Diocese. I love the beginning of this week’s message, and thought I would share. As we celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr., it is important to honor his message, his sense of integrity, his call to action, and his deep faith.  “Be kind to...   [Click here for more.]
SAVE THE DATE FOR FAMILY NIGHT
Please join us on Saturday, February 4th from 6-9pm for a pizza dinner followed by Bunco which is an 'all-ages' dice game of partners. It is a night of fun and excitement and a lot of craziness with small victories and defeats, all with the roll of dice. Bunco is a very long-standing tradition at S.E.A! Tickets will be sold at the door $5/child and $10/adult.

FROM THE ATHLETIC DIRECTOR

Warmer weather is right around the corner and with the changing of seasons comes Spring Sports. Registration for the 2017 Spring Sports Season has begun. Please find the registration forms under the Athletics page on our website. For the first time at SEA, upper form athletes may play baseball and lacrosse during the same season. Both the lacrosse and baseball program are excited about having been able to finally make this happen!   RE: the SEA P.E Uniform:  Recently, there has been a lack of Under Armour uniform supply, making it difficult to order our gym uniforms. The solution will be an online store in the near future. We will issue details about purchasing when it's available. The online store offers both a warm weather uniform and a cold weather uniform. All 4 pieces are not mandatory. Any mix and match among the two tops and the two bottoms will be acceptable. All Under Armour uniforms ordered in the past are still acceptable also. Thank you for your patience with this process! Contact Ryan Holsten with questions.
THANK YOU FROM SEA FAC & STAFF
The faculty and staff of Saint Edmond’s Academy would like tothank those families who gave individual gifts or contributed to the 2016 Faculty  and Staff Christmas Fund. We are always grateful for all of the wonderful things that our families do for us and the Academy. We all want to wish you, and your family, a happy, healthy and holy 2017!
2016-2017 ANNUAL FUND UPDATE
Thank you to all of our current families who have already made their gift to the 2016-17 Annual Fund! As of this week, 30% of families have made their gift to the campaign which ends on June 30th. Last year our total percentage of giving at the end of our campaign reached 52%. We hope to exceed that goal this year. Percentages by class currently stand at the following levels and we would love to see all classes meet the 75% mark or above: 8th grade = 23%, 7th grade = 21%, 6th grade = 42%, 5th grade = 19%, 4th grade = 29%, 3rd grade = 45%, 2nd grade = 29%, 1st grade = 43%, Kindergarten = 36%, Junior K = 8%  For many years now, the State has provided a transportation subsidy for Delaware residents with students enrolled in private schools. It was very common for SEA families to donate these reimbursement checks back to us as their annual fund gift. Unfortunately, the transportation subsidy was not approved by the state as part of their annual budget and those reimbursements will no longer be issued. For those of you who made your gift this way, we hope you will still consider making your donation to Saint Edmond's either online or by check. Together we all make a difference!  Gifts can be made via check to SEA or click here to make your online donation now.
24th ANNUAL CAMP FAIR at TOWER HILL

The Community Camp Fair at Tower Hill School returns for the 24th year on Thursday, February 2nd (3:30-7pm) in the fieldhouse.  There will be as many as 100 camp exhibitors there to share offerings and answer your questions.  The event is free and open to the public. As part of this event, they offer each attendee one free raffle ticket. Free raffle items include Beats Headphones, Blue Rocks tickets, Skyzone Jump passes, BBC Gift Certificate, Adventure Aquarium passes, various gift cards and more. Summer can be a challenging time for parents to find meaningful activities for their children. At the Camp Fair, families can meet camp representatives in person—so much better than searching online. Visit the event page here  or click here for details.
