FROM THE DESK OF THE PRINCIPAL
Dear SEA Families,
“Live life well.”  -When my grandmother was dying, she said those words to me. I remember wondering why she chose those words.  Had she observed that I was not living my life well in that moment? Live life well… how does she mean?  I never entirely processed what she was trying to tell me. But recently, I am starting to better understand. SEA CELEBRATES CATHOLIC SCHOOLS
Catholic Schools Week is celebrated nationally next week. On Monday, we will kick off CSW with a prayer service at 10am (all grades; in Rollins Center) followed by a check presentation ceremony. On Tuesday, Student Appreciation Day, we celebrate the students in a few ways: a Spirit Wear Tag Day (must wear red, black, grey or white), a favorite lunch (voted on by those in grades 6, 7 & 8) will be served in the cafeteria and there will be no homework assigned this evening. On Wednesday, during Enrichment period (10am), the Upper & Middle Form will gather to cheer on Michael Acierno '17, Liam Furlong '17, Jonathan Falix '17, Jimmy Kriner '18, Jack Mancuso '18, Jacob Binkley '19, and Donny Webster '19 who are finalists in Mr. B's National Geographic Bee class. One student will become the SEA Geography Bee Champion, and be eligible to represent us at the DE National Geography Bee in March. Also, on Wednesday, the Parents' Guild is hosting a Teacher Appreciation Luncheon. Thursday is the SEA Open House from 9am-11am and 6-8pm; Students will also participate in a Door Decorating Contest. Open House visitors, faculty and staff will select a winner in each form. Winners will receive a free tag day. On Friday at 8am, we'll have a Stop & Read session for 15 minutes. We will wrap up CSW with an exciting, and most likely, hilarious game of Bubble Soccer! Friday is a free tag day as well (added 2/2) Each player is enveloped inside agiant plastic bubble. This makes kicking the ball even more entertaining, especially when you start bumping into each other, or find yourself upside down! 6th, 7th, 8th graders with signed waivers (no exceptions) are eligible to play as well as participating faculty and staff. Games begin at 1:30pm.  Everyone is welcome!
