Dear SEA Families, 
I know there are times as a parent we wonder, “Who raised this child?
I have a daughter (17) and a son (19). There were times when I was disappointed and wondered if they were ever going to show us the persons I know my husband and I are raising! Boys are frustrating because they never seem to listen when we need them to. The other night my son called to share some news about an opportunity he is pursuing on his own (i.e. without my help).   {Finish reading here.]
 ST. EDMOND'S FAMILY NIGHT  IN JUST 2 DAYS
BUNCO  -an SEA Tradition
Mass will be said by Father Kirk at 5:30pm in the Chapel (just up the stairs from the Train Station). After Mass, enjoy an Italian dinner and play the 'all ages dice game' of Bunco this Saturday, February 2nd. $10 Tickets (cash or check only please) are sold at the door.  GRADES 6-7-8 VALENTINE'S DAY DANCE
All sixth, seventh and eighth graders are invited to a St. Valentine's Day Dance from 7-10pm on Saturday, February 9th in the Bill D'Amato Alumni Gymnasium. SEA 60th ANNIVERSARY GALA INFORMATION
Beginning this Monday, in a special preview event, tickets for the Gala are available online for current parents and board members only! Tickets sales are open to our extended community the following week. Seating is limited so you'll want to secure your tickets as soon as possible. Tickets are $125/person or $225/couple.  Tables of 12 can be purchased and sponsorship opportunities are available. A very special 'thank you' to our homeroom parents for organizing each grade level's auction basket for the event! SEA SPRING SPORTS REGISTRATION CLOSES SOON
It's time to register for Spring Sports. Rugby (Gr 3-8), Baseball (Gr 6-8 Only), Junior Lacrosse (Gr K-3), Lacrosse (Gr K-8)
Instructional Track (Gr 1&2), Track (Gr 3-8). All players submitting online sports permission forms on or before the due date WILL have a spot on a team. Late submissions could be declined. Click here to read for more information and to sign up.

SEA GUEST BARTENDING EVENT COMING SOON
Everyone is already talking about the SEA Guest Bartender Social on Thursday, March 7th from 6-9pm at the BBC Tavern & Grill (formerly Brandywine Brewing Company) in Greenville. A complete list of our fantastic guest bartenders and the times they will be behind the bar will be announced in the next few weeks. Bring the family out for dinner because SEA gets a portion of your dinner bill too!. Last year was a blast and this year should be even better.
PERFORMING ARTS UPDATES
Peter Pan, Jr. News    Cast are reminded to continue to work with audio tracks when they are not at rehearsal. Stage Crew agreement forms need to be returned by the end of next week. There is a Building Crew work call set for Saturday from 10am-2pm. If there are MF/UF families who wish to help with building the set, please contact Ms. DeHart.
National Anthem at the Blue Coats Basketball Game Members of the three SEA choirs, along with a number of up and coming singers from the third grade, will sing the National Anthem for the Blue Coats game on Saturday, February 9 at 7pm.  We know you'll make us proud! Best wishes to Eli Martin '20 as he goes to the intensive state level rehearsals next week to prepare for the All-State Jr. Chorus concert next Saturday at Mt. Pleasant. Summer Theatre Programs- Ages 6-16

SEA'S 49th ANNUAL BASKETBALL CAMP
We are offering up to four weeks for the 2019 SEA Basketball Camp. Our incoming 1st & 2nd Grade group will be a COED, FULL DAY camp (8:30am-3pm). Our incoming 3rd to 8th Grade group will be a FULL DAY camp as well (8:30 am-3pm). For more info or to register, please click here

Rippin' Rope Lacrosse Camp directed by SEA's Mr. Pete Duncan (also head boys' lacrosse coach at Archmere), is returning in summer 2019!
