SCHOOL MESSENGER EMERGENCY TEXT
The School Messenger system launced another broadcasted this past MONDAY about the high winds causing us to lose power. Please contact Renie if you did not receive a phone call or voicemail.  Also, please recall that earlier this year we added the company's texting feature. To receive the text messages, though, you must have OPTED IN. Each parent has to ‘opt-in’ from an SMS (ShortMessage Service) using "a short code 67587".Recipients who wish to receive text messages MUST send a ‘Y’ or ‘yes’ via text message to code 67587 Please direct questions to Renie Guringo.

Over the course of his 8 years as DE A/G, Beau Biden spoke in scores of schools, to over 25k students. The Beau Biden Foundation for the Protection of Children proudly continues his work. The Foundation’s presentation for parents addresses these same issues, helps parents understand what their kids do online, and addresses ways to foster healthy conversations with children about digital safety. Please attend this important presentation at SEA on Thursday, February 23rd at 6:30pm. Bring guests!  
THURSDAY NIGHT MEETING for K-8 LAX
The Parent/Player Lacrosse Meeting has been rescheduled for Thursday, February 23rd at 6pm in The Bill (Lower Form Gym). Come listen to our guest speakers and important information about the program from Head Coach Pete Borror. Our sales rep from Cascade will also be here to size players for any equipment needs and will also be raffling off lacrosse gear. Info will be available for ordering new SEA Lacrosse Swag also. Have your signed your son up for lacrosse yet?  We even have a Junior Lacrosse Program (Grades K-2); it's not too late to sign up!

Your son will bring home a bookmark for Rocky’s Reading Challenge today.  A note explaining the rules for participation is attached to the bookmark. Two Blue Rocks tickets will be awarded to each student who completes this reading challenge. Completed bookmarks are due back to the school on Monday, March 13. Happy Reading!  A special ‘thank you’ is extended to the Catalina family for their wonderful donation of books. Some of the titles will be added to our library collection and others have been placed in the free book exchange. Thank you so much!
JOIN US AT THE WELLS FARGO CENTER
Join us on Monday, 3/6 (7pm) at the Wells Fargo Center for a night with the Philadelphia 76ers. Arrive as early as 6pm and make your way close to the court and watch warm ups. Tickets are $25, and each ticket comes with a 76ers t-shirt. As an added incentive to attend, SEA will hold a random selection on Friday, March 3 to select 25 students who will take part in the 76ers FAN TUNNEL right before the game.  47th ANNUAL SEA B-BALL CAMP

We are excited about two new offerings within the 2017 SEA Basketball Camp. Our incoming 1st & 2nd Grade Group will be CO-ED. Our incoming 1st & 2nd Grade Group will be a full day camp (8:30-3pm).The 2017 SEA Basketball Camp will be for boys AND girls entering 1st and 2nd Grades and for BOYS entering 3rd to 8th Grades. SUMMER at ST. ED'S -YEAR TWO!

The 2nd Annual Summer at St. Ed's Camp will be run for rising K-6 students from June 12th-August 11th. We will offer day camp and extended care. Don't miss out. Our offerings include art, music, theatre, engineering, robotics, Minecraft, basketball, soccer, lacrosse, baseball and rugby. SCREENINGS at CLS APRIL 18th 9-12pm

CLS invites you to their community-wide speech, language, reading and handwriting screenings. This program is offered to students in K-8 who might benefit from a one-on-one free screening with a certified Speech & Language Therapist, Reading Specialist or Occupational Therapist. Screenings are appropriate for children who may benefit from support with Reading, (Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Oral Reading Fluency Reading Comprehension), Occupational Therapy, (Handwriting), Speech & Language Therapy (Expressive and Receptive Language, Articulation Skills, Communication Development). SEVENTH GRADE PRACTICE EXAMS
Please note these dates for Spring 2017 Grade 7 High School Entrance Exam Practice Tests: Sallies (3/4), St. Mark's (3/11), St. Elizabeth (4/1), Malvern Prep (4/1 & 5/6), Archmere Academy (4/8), St. Joe's Prep (4/8).
