Blessed Basil Moreau believed schools should take care of the heart and mind. Lately, I have been attending school meetings and workshops addressing the mental health of children and adolescents. The facts and figures are astounding, and they continue to climb. Did you know the following?
SEA 60th ANNIVERSARY GALA TICKETS

You can help prevent abuse! Get involved with the Beau Biden Foundation for the Protection of Children. Sign up to volunteer or conquer the trails at the 4th Annual BBF Run on Saturday, 4/27 at the beautiful and exclusive Granogue Estate. Click here to register. There’s a discounted rate for the under 18 crowd - $10. so we're hoping to see some of our  This year, BBF is asking their grassroots network to “sponsor a teacher” by making a $10 donation. That’s what it costs them to train a teacher in the organization's Stewards of Children program. Help us spread the word about the race and the crowdfunding challenge
SAVE THE DATE--3/25 to SIGN THE PLEDGE
New Castle County's annual Great Schools, Clean Streams pledge will run from Monday, 3/25 through Friday, 4/12. 19 schools in NCC will win cash prizes of up to $1,250 for school supplies and educational projects. How to help us win-- SEA faculty, students, parents and other supporters just need to sign a simple online pledge (on the school’s behalf) to dispose of their used cooking oil and grease in the trash. The schools that collect the most pledges in their category will win.
SEA NIGHT at BBC -TWO WEEKS FROM TODAY
Everyone is already talking about the SEA Guest Bartender Social on Thursday, March 7th from 6-9pm at the BBC Tavern & Grill (formerly Brandywine Brewing Company) in Greenville. Bring the family out for dinner because SEA gets a portion of your dinner bill too!. Last year was a blast and this year should be even better.
ACADEMY PERFORMING ARTS NEWS

Knights of the Light
Congrats to the newest group of Lancers to be knighted! A special song, "Knights of the Light" was written especially for them and will be performed tonight at the ceremony by the 5th grade class.
Spring Musical-Peter Pan, Jr.  We have set a record for missed rehearsals for bad weather. Please make sure you are in attendance if you are listed for Friday, 3-4:30 and EVERYONE on Sunday, 5:30-8:30pm. Head shots are potentially going to be taken at this rehearsal. The "Name Michael's Teddy Bear" contest will begin. Please bring and wear your dance shoes for rehearsals. You are off book for Scenes 1-4 by Sunday. Work Call on Saturday from 10-2.
Spotlight on - Summer Theatre - Shoestring Summer Showcase- (intermediate to advanced performers)
Original musical for young audiences performed by young people ages 9-16. Six days of rehearsal, June 17-21 and 24, and four days of local touring, June 25-28. Class size limited. Audition required for students new to the program (3/30) Click here or contact Ms. DeHart for more information.

SEA'S 49th ANNUAL BASKETBALL CAMP
We are offering up to four weeks for the 2019 SEA Basketball Camp. Our incoming 1st & 2nd Grade group will be a COED, FULL DAY camp (8:30am-3pm). Our incoming 3rd to 8th Grade group will be a FULL DAY camp as well (8:30 am-3pm). For more info or to register, please click here
RYAN HOLSTEN BASEBALL ACADEMY
The Ryan Holsten Baseball Academy will once again be hosting a 2 week Summer Camp this July at SEA. Camp dates are July 22-25 and July 29-Aug 1. Students will learn the fundamentals of hitting, throwing, catching, running the bases & more! Class sizes are limited! Click here for more information.
