FROM THE DESK OF THE PRINCIPAL
Dear SEA Families,
This week is my mom’s 77th birthday. She will not be happy with me putting this in print but I don’t understand why!  She looks fantastic and continues to live a very independent daily life.  I know we are a lucky family! (I mean- my 79 year old father still works full time, but he is a rare breed.) As I stand at a crossroads in my own life, I can only pray that at their ages, I look as and feel as good as they do.  [Keep reading here.]

FROM THE THOMAS P. SWEENEY LIBRARY
Box Tops Update-  Another successful collection week ended with over $310 of Box Tops submitted to the school. Antonio Thompson was the school-wide winner with a donation of 678 Box Tops. We will continue to accept Box Tops for the remainder of the year. Please send all submissions to the library in a bag labeled with your son’s name and homeroom.
Read Across America- The snow tried to stop our celebration of Read Across America, but we were able to reschedule for today. A special thank you to Mrs. Narvaez and the cafeteria staff for preparing a wonderful green eggs and ham lunch. We had so much fun celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday.
Rocky’s Reading Challenge-  Bookmarks for Rocky’s Reading Challenge were sent home last week. Students are asked to read a set amount of books during the months of February and March. Completed bookmarks should be returned to the library no later than March 29th. Students will receive two Blue Rocks tickets for participating in this fun reading event!
