FROM THE DESK OF THE PRINCIPAL

Dear SEA Families,
My husband and I were walking into Trolley Square for dinner (my favorite part about living in the city now), and I passed the Mt. Salem United Methodist Church right next to Rockford Park.  I love to read the quotes they post.  Last night it read, “When you harbor happiness, bitterness will dock elsewhere.”  What a nice way to think about the weekend!  Since today is my sister’s birthday and my best friend’s birthday, I think I will harbor happiness as I surround myself with lots of family...  [Click here to keep reading.]

STANDARDIZED TESTING
Students in grades 3 through 7 will be taking the TerraNova standardized test on Tuesday,3/14-Friday, 3/17 and will resume testing on Tuesday, 3/21 – Friday, 3/24. Parents should be aware that students must be in homeroom by 8am every day of testing.  If a student is tardy, he will be asked to sit in the reception area of theGreat Hall until the first portion of the day’s testing has concluded. No student will be permitted to interrupt testing already in progress.  It is important for  your son to get a good night’s sleep before testing and each a healthy, full breakfast the day of testing. Students should have #2 pencils for testing and also a book to read if they finish the test early. Mr. Cincotta will coordinate the makeup dates for any student who is tardy or absent during testing. We sincerely appreciate your cooperation with this.
