FROM THE DESK OF THE PRINCIPAL
Dear SEA Families,
I am sure many of you are busy preparing for a well-deserved break for your families. However, some of you might be, like me, just staying home for the week. Being the forever mom, I will be helping my daughter recover from having her tonsils and adenoids removed. Hopefully, all will go well, and it will just be a peaceful week together at home. Knowing Haley, however, it might not. I am lucky though, we were able to get away last weekend with our son and daughter. At one point I remember my two teenagers genuinely laughing with each other, and I thought of a quote I have in my house: “Every moment is a memory waiting to happen.” It was a sweet moment, and I am grateful.

To our 8th grade parents, I need your help. Many of our boys are checking out. This is nothing new for us, but it might be new for some of you as you see your son’s grades begin to decrease. Please check NetClassroom and support teachers as they continue to hold the boys accountable for the work. School is not over for them, much to their chagrin. Brace yourselves, sometimes this can get challenging. Hang in there and check assignments. Feel free to reach out to me if needed.

Starting April 1st, students in grades 4-7 will take the ERBs. Prompt arrival times are urgent. If a student arrives after the test begins, he will have to wait until the second test begins. He will then have to make up the first test during recess or after school. To be clear, students need to be here before 8am. The test will take place Monday- Friday, with an additional test on Monday, April 8th for 7th graders. Standardized testing is never fun. It can be exhausting for all. Lots of rest is necessary to do your best. Students not in grades 4-7 will have a normal scheduled day.

Have a wonderful and restful spring break. We will see you all on Monday, March 25th!     -Tricia
