FROM THE DESK OF THE PRINCIPAL
Dear SEA Families,
Well, I am 51 years old today. I figured if I keep saying it,  I will get used to the number. Yikes. So many changes for me personally and professionally this year. I was kind of hoping time would slow down, but, in God’s true humor, time appears to have accelerated instead. This morning I have been slammed with cards and hugs from your sons. It just makes my heart swell. I am grateful for your amazing sons every day!

The ERBs are almost complete. Some students are reporting how much more difficult they’re finding this year’s tests to be. We want to understand what they’re experiencing, and we will be checking in with them about what they found most challenging. The teachers and I are glad to have seen extra focus on their parts. They appear to have been using their allotted time wisely throughout all the assessments.  [Please click here to keep reading.]
YEARBOOK CLUB PHOTOS THIS MONDAY, 4/8
SEA's Digital Yearbook Team, led by Mrs. Downs and Mr. Johns, has been working on the 2019 edition for many weeks now! We will be sending you a link to purchase the yearbook (online sales only) in the next few weeks.
The yearbook team and Mrs. Fella will be photographing students for the yearbook at the beginning of first period this Monday, April 8th.  Among those being photographed are the National Junior Honor Society, band and choral groups, Science Olympiad, Student Council, Math League and a few other competition-based clubs in grades 4-8. If your son is in any of these groups, he must be on time on Monday since there are very rarely retake opportunities.
SEA PERFORMING ARTS NEWS
PETER PAN, JR.
The wait is nearly over! The spring musical Peter Pan, Jr. will take place next Friday and Saturday (4/12 & 4/13) at 7:30 PM and Sunday (April 14) at 2pm. Our students have worked really hard to produce an amazing show. Come be part of the fun!

SUMMER THEATRE OFFERINGS AT SEA THIS SUMMER
This week the focus on SNEAKERS and Theatreworks Jr.
While it is a great time to be thinking about our summer offerings in theatre, musical theatre, and writing for the stage for our Middle and Upper Form students, let's not forget our youngest stars in the making. SNEAKERS is an introduction to musical theatre for boys and girls aged 6-8. Theatreworks, Jr. is a mini-play produced in five days for ages 7-9. No prior experience is required for either of these programs. Click here for info about all programs. Our theatre offerings provide a great opportunity for students to learn communication skills and develop self-confidence. Contact Ms. DeHart with questions.

BOOK FAIR BENEFITS CLASSROOMS!
Did you know that your Scholastic Book Fair purchases really add up? These sales (no matter how small) contribute to our Library's Scholastic account in the form of points or credit. Mrs. Hartman saves her sales percentages over a period of time. She and the teachers then look through Scholastic's merchandise catalog for all types of things that contribute to a better classroom and learning experience.
Please plan on visiting the Library the week of 4/8 to make your purchase. Students will be given time during the day to see what's new!
