Dear Academy Families,

<These are
such simple statements from Mother Theresa, but not so simple to live every day. Lord knows it is not always easy to take the high road. There are times when I so wish I could speak my mind. But life and experience has taught me ‘speaking my mind’ doesn't always lead to a solution, Not always easy to remember for an Italian like me. Yet, I love these words because Mother’s Theresa helps me to remember why 'speaking my mind' isn’t always the best road: “For you see, in the end, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.
I try my very best to remember that my words and actions must reflect who I want to be when I stand before God. My goal for my children, our students, and our community is to live these “moments of conflict” with not people’s perceptions in mind, but with God in mind.

May is a month for communication, communication, communication! There is so much going on during this last month, please check emails, book bags and the website. The past few days, we have sent emails regarding the 8th grade ‘TO DOs’ for the month of May, a letter to all 6th and 7th grade parents on their last few weeks of exams and rising fourth through seventh grade families should have received a letter regarding the honor math assessment on Tuesday, May 15th at 8am.

Here are some early May highlights...
• May 7th 8th Grade trip to Washington, DC
• May 9th 6th Grade overnight trip to Camp Tockwogh
•May 11th BVM + Mother’s Day Mass (&  K-1 Tea!)

Enjoy,  Tricia
