Today is my favorite day at the Academy because of our Mother’s Day Mass! For an all-boys’ school, we celebrate our moms right! I know there are times you wonder if your son is listening. But when you least it expect it, he will say or do something that will just swell your heart. Treasure these moments. Today our fourth grade letters brought tears and laughter. I love how they all feel they are each “Mom’s Favorite”! This just means you make sure your son knows just how special he is to you. There were many common themes as our fourth graders read their personal letters- “thank you for driving to practice, thank you for doing laundry, and thank you for cooking dinner.” …Got to love them- sports, laundry and food! SEA SUMMER READING + SPIRIT NIGHT

On Tuesday, May 22nd the SEA Library will sponsor a Barnes & Noble 'Summer Reading' Book Fair. You may shop throughout the day at the Concord Pike location. SEA Librarian Mrs. Hartman will be in the store from 5:30-8pm.
A school 'Wish List' table and our summer reading books will also be available. Please support this wonderful reading event. Shop for summer reading materials (among other things) for the whole family! Also on May 22nd, we will host a Grub Burger School Spirit Night. Skip cooking dinner and enjoy a meal with the SEA community at Grub! A portion of all sales will be donated back to the school. Flyers for both events can be found at this link.

PHILLIES GAME + NKF TAILGATE  6/20

Please join Billy D The Kidney, the D'Amatos and the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) at Citizens Bank Park on Saturday, 6/9 when the Phillies host the Milwaukee Brewers at 1:05pm. Don’t forget to stop by the NKF tailgate first!  Details: Seating will located in the Pavilion (sections 201-205) at $20 per ticket. WEDNESDAY NIGHT--ROLLINS CENTER

Announcing SEA's Evening of the Arts this Wednesday, May 16, 
Our theme is Viva la vida Latina!
Beginning at 6:30pm, come enjoy a night of visual art and music. The night features a concert of instrumental music from our three bands, Spanish poetry reading, choral music from our three choirs and an impressive display of art from grades 4-8. Come celebrate the arts with us.

FREE 'TAG DAY' THIS MONDAY

The Il Bambino drive was a HUGE success! Together, we collected over 2700 points. This is several hundred points more than last year's drive! Everyone has earned a FREE 'Tag Day' this Monday (5/14). The top teams are In third place 3-2 and 4-2 with 398 points. In second place,....4-1 and 5-1 with 420 points and the winner of the Italian Ice is.....2-2 and 7-1 with 485 points! Thank you to everyone who brought in supplies for families in need!

Academy Singers join Archmere's Mastersingers
Sixteen of our Academy Singers will perform 'Sanctus' from 'Mass' with the Mastersingers of Archmere on Friday, May 18th at 7pm in honor of Leonard Berstein's 100th birthday. Our guys have been working hard to master their portion of this challenging piece. We are sure they will do us proud!

Shoestring Productions of Brandywine Valley
will conduct their annual theatre workshops during June and July at SEA. For details, dates, and further information, click here. To  audition for the Showcase Tour or Musical Theatre Audition Skills class contact Ms. DeHart. These co-ed programs are ages 6-16
