FROM THE DESK OF THE PRINCIPAL
Good Afternoon!
A current SEA parent seems to like reminding me lately that, “this will be one of [my] last Knightly News notes.”  That's a lot of pressure to come up with something brilliant and inspiring knowing it will be one of my lasts!

Maya Angelou said, “We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.” As I tell parents all the time, your children are on a journey. It is not a sprint to the finish line. Honestly as I watch my last child graduate from high school, I wish I had paid more attention to the journey. Your boys are going to go through changes- there will be good ones, bad ones, and yes, some ugly ones.
Do not save them from any of it. Let them live them all so they do transform into that beautiful butterfly when they are ready.

I know I have been saying it often lately, but I have absolutely loved being part of the SEA community the past 11 years. This village, these sweet boys, have been a huge part of my life, and I am so very grateful for every moment. I know it has not always been perfect, but through it all, I hope you and your sons know I loved being part of their journey.

As we say goodbye to the Class of 2019 this Sunday, it is my hope and prayer that SEA has touched their spirits and ignited their faith as they continue on in their next journey. I know every SEA student, current and past, has done so for me. SEA is my family- and that is forever.

Fondly, Tricia
