FROM THE DESK OF THE PRINCIPAL
Dear SEA Families,
Have you ever seen the movie Miracle? It is a favorite among my family members. How can you not cheer for a U.S. team who made their way to victory over the “seemingly invisible Russian squad” during the 1980 Winter Olympics? Herb Brooks, the Head Coach of this team said, “You were born to be a player. You were meant to be here. This moment is yours.”

SENDING A TEST MESSAGE SATURDAY
SEA uses the School Messenger emergency broadcasting system to send a voice message to families for inclement weather closings and other events which require your immediate attention. If you would like the system to send you a text message in addition to the voicecall, you must opt-in. We cannot take this step for you. To do so, please text YES to 67587. We plan to do a test message for our emergency broadcasting system on Saturday. Please email us if you did not receive a voice message or a 'missed call' from us.

A VERY, VERY SUCCESSFUL SEASON!
The Fall Sports Season was a huge success! Under the leadership of Coach George Leidy, our Cross Country team ran hard and ran well in every meet. The Varsity CC Team led by a strong group of 8th Grade runners finished second in the CYM Championship Meet. The JV CC Team was unstoppable this season running away with 1st place in every meet including the James Blunt JV Championship which the boys have won for the past 3 years! The Soccer Program continues its long tradition of success. Program wide the soccer teams found a lot of success on the field with a 32-12-2 combined record of all 5 teams. The Varsity Soccer team led the way with a 10-2 final record and ended the season with a very exciting Championship Win in Overtime Penalty Kicks. In the last 12 seasons the team has been in 6 Championship Games (5 of the last 8 seasons) and has 4 Titles. Congrats to all the teams, coaches and players for a very successful 2017 Fall Season. Thank you to all the SEA families who make this possible by getting our players to and from practices and games.

HIGHEST SALES IN FIVE YEARS!
The Scholastic Book Fair was a huge success! Our sales totals were the highest in the past five years. The boys really enjoyed the selection of books and raffle items generously donated by Marie Gilligan (John '12). Our next reading event will be Tuesday, November 28th at the Concord Pike Barnes & Noble. We're excited to announce that we are also hosting our very first Chick-Fil-A School Spirit Night this evening as well. Get your shopping done and grab dinner with us.
SPREAD the WORD for SEA ADMISSIONS
Some of the most effective marketing of SEA takes place when our current families 'like', 'share', 'retweet', and 'comment' on SEA social media posts and events with which they connect. As we enter our busy Admissions season, we appreciate any social media-savvy folks to help us get the word out about the special things happening at SEA.  Spread the word! We have Admission Testing for current year transfers or Fall 2018 NEXT Saturday, 11/18 at 9am

CONGRATS TO OUR 2017 PERFORMERS!
