GET INVOLVED SCHOOL CALENDAR GIVE
FROM THE DESK OF THE PRINCIPAL
Dear SEA Families,
Every week, Mr. Will Broelmann sends our faculty and staff a quote from one of the many writings of Blessed Basil Moreau. On the first of December, this particular selection was very timely!

Jesus says to us:
'If you are poor, I will be your treasure;
If you are weary, I will uplift you;
If you are exhausted, I will be your support.’”
Fr. Basil Moreau, CSC Exercises

Moving into the first week of December, we hear words like ‘weary’ and ‘exhausted’ more and more. As we gear up for Christmas, we may even start to hear the word ‘poor’! But, as hectic as this season may be, we need to remember the purpose of Christmas--joy, peace, love and giving. I cherish Christmas time because my family and friends mean the world to me. I look forward to our traditions. Recently, my siblings and I have established a new tradition. We no longer buy each other gifts. Instead, each December over the past four years, we’ve all made time to meet in New York City for one night. We spend the entire day together as siblings and just enjoy each other’s company. We create wonderful memories, full of laughter, sarcasm (if you know my brothers, you know this is true) and pure fun. I would never go back to giving gifts with them. This is so much better. I hope you have traditions, old or new, with the people who are special to you. If not, it is never too late to start!

We know there are many SEA events during the month of December. We hope you will attend as many as your family schedule allows. We have a Lower School Christmas Concert this Thursday evening at 6pm followed by a 1:40pm Liturgy on Friday for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. It’s a Spanish Mass to honor Our Lady of Guadalupe whose Feast is December 12th. On Saturday, December 9th our talented singers will be performing at the Delaware Arts Museum at 9:45am.

May you find some time this weekend to relax,
Tricia

SHOP FOR SEA THROUGH  SUNDAY
We had a lot of fun on Tuesday evening at our Barnes & Noble Christmas Book Fair and our first ever Chick-Fil-A night. Although we are still waiting to hear from both businesses for our sales totals, the attendance at these events was good! Thanks are due to Mr. Ellis and Mrs. Manalo for managing the Chick-Fil-A event and to Mrs. Downs for gift wrapping at B&N. A very special 'thank you' to the Alcarese, Cincilla, Coppola, Downs, Guerrieri, Illingworth, Lankford, LaScala, Migliore, Petit, Sepehriazar, and Stoops families for their generous donations to the Thomas P. Sweeney Library. We are thrilled with the new book selections. We would also like to thank the Student Council for distributing the reminder fliers created by Mrs. Fella. Please spread the word--you can continue to support SEA by shopping at BN.com/bookfairs (using SEA Code 12247581) through THIS SUNDAY (12/3).

SPREAD the WORD for SEA ADMISSIONS
Some of the most effective marketing of SEA takes place when our current families 'like', 'share', 'retweet', and 'comment' on SEA social media posts and events with which they connect. As we enter our busy Admissions season, we appreciate any social media-savvy folks to help us get the word out about the special things happening at SEA.  Spread the word! We have Admission Testing for current year transfers or Fall 2018 NEXT SATURDAY, 12/9.
